Sons of the Suns T-Shirt (May 2006/April 2007)

When Sons of the Suns, the premiere Anakin Skywalker costuming group, needed a t-shirt design for the upcoming Star Wars Celebration IV convention I went through my archives and dug up an old concept I had made a year earlier. Originally I had planned on making shirts for myself with the tongue-in-cheek tag line "I WAS THE CHOSEN ONE", a first-person spin on Obi-Wan's line from Revenge of the Sith. I thought it was a funny way to identify myself as an Anakin costumer, so naturally it worked great as a slogan for the SOTS group.

With some brainstorming on the forums, the design grew from having just the scar to also having Anakin's eyes piercing from behind the words. Fellow Anakin costumer Bryan Morton compiled the notes from the group and created the final design. The shirts were printed and many of us wore them to our group photo at Celebration IV, seen below.
