Darth Vader, Sith Lord
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
Work In Progress

After becoming obsessed with the character and costumes of Anakin Skywalker it was only natural that I would eventually want to become the suited Darth Vader as well. I knew this would be a long and pricey venture but it would be worth it in the end.

In 2005 I purchased the Rubie's Supreme Edition costume which was incorrectly billed as having pieces "cast from studio molds". I knew I would eventually have to upgrade the entire suit but I enjoyed running around as a 'complete' Vader a few times before I disassembled the costume and started working towards screen-accuracy.

After parting with all of the pieces which could never be fixed I now have only a portion of the costume. I have lots of work left to do on the remaining parts and lots of money to raise in order to replace the rest. I plan on updating this page when progress is made, however slowly that may be.

::: Helmet
My helmet is the limited edition replica produced my Master Replicas in 2005. This helmet was cast from the same molds as the screen-used piece and features the exact same padding and strap system.

::: Armor
I have refurbished my Rubie's chest armor by covering the inside with a thick layer of fiberglassing resin. This gave the armor the proper thickness and weight. The cape chain has also been replaced metal links that are identical to the screen-used chain. Both armor and chain are awaiting new paintjobs.

::: Chest Box
The Rubie's chest box is the proper size but all of the buttons, switches, rods and electronics need to be replaced.

::: Belt
My "Portumac" belt has full electronics, featuring green and red lights in the side boxes, an aluminum buckle and leather belt.

::: Lightsaber
My "hero" lightsaber is the limited edition replica produced my Master Replicas in 2005.
