Battle of the Heroes was a group project between Star Wars costumers Dan Bergren (Obi-Wan Kenobi) and myself (Darth Vader) to recreate the lightsaber choreography from the final scenes of Revenge of the Sith.

The project began in late 2005 with the original goal of filming the duel as the focus of a Star Wars fan film. Unfortunately, the lack of the appropriate equipment, studio and crew shelved this idea early on. We decided to continue practicing the duel with hopes of performing it at conventions and other events.

Unlike most other fan-choreographed lightsaber duels, we slowed the film down frame-by-frame and replicated each and every move as closely as possible. We took great pride in our attention to detail and our dedication to performing the most accurate duel out there.

We trained a couple times a month beginning in November 2005, working out the kinks in the different sections and often scrapping entire movesets in the sake of accuracy. At Comic-Con 2006 we were priviledged to perform a few parts of the choreography for the crowd at Master Replicas' Collector's Society party. We also performed at a few children's events later in the year.

Unfortunately our personal lives took us in seperate directions in 2007 and we could no longer practice at regular intervals. Our last session in early May saw the completion of our choreography from start to finish. Unfortunately we had no one to film it that day.
